Is SmokeCloak Security Fog Right for Me?

Is SmokeCloak Security Fog Right for Me?

Do you want peace of mind? Are you looking for a new way to ensure that your home or business is safe and secure? Maybe you’ve encountered SmokeCloak’s security fog, and you’ve seen its many benefits, but you’re not quite sure if it’s the right choice. Here, we answer a few of our most commonly received questions, in order to ascertain whether or not SmokeCloak security fog is the right option for you.

I’m worried that a security fog system is too complicated for me… What if I can’t turn it on, or arm it?

First of all, don’t worry. SmokeCloak is permanently connected to the mains supply and is triggered by the alarm system. This means that it’s always turned on, and arming and disarming are controlled by the alarm system, so you don’t need to worry about that.

I’m worried that the security fog will be harmful to breathe in…

SmokeCloak security fog is not real smoke! It is a glycol vapour and it is harmless. A similar substance is also used in theatres, discos and e-cigarettes. If you would like more information on this, we have a report and a health and safety data sheet and would be happy to share these with you. Just contact us for more information.

What about the security fog damaging my stock or personal belongings?

The security fog will not cause any damage. It is entirely harmless. This means that your clothing, furniture, computers, money and so on is all totally safe if the fog is deployed.

So, what if the security fog deploys and I can’t get rid of it?

After turning off the alarm system, you will simply need to open the doors and windows to create a through draft, and the fog will be gone in no time.

I’m worried that the security fog will be triggered accidentally…

Your SmokeCloak security fog system will only ever operate when your alarm system instructs it to do so. When the alarm system is unset (for example, during the day), a series of internal circuits prevent your SmokeCloak from operating on its own.

And what would happen in the event of a mains failure?

Battery backup is standard in all of our security fog machines. The control circuits and pumps are backed up and will still operate in the event of a mains failure. The maximum smoke production capacity will fall marginally, as the main heater is not backed up, but the system will still provide protection for at least 30 minutes, by which point any intruder will have long since fled the scene.

Will getting a SmokeCloak affect my insurance cover?

We’d hope so! Many major insurance companies offer discounts for the inclusion of a SmokeCloak security fog system in risk improvement measures!
